During his working trip to Chernihiv region, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky participated in the presentation of the economic platform "Made in Ukraine," met with business representatives, and looked at the products of local entrepreneurs.

The Head of State emphasized that two years ago, Ukrainian warriors, businesses, and all citizens, each in their own place, defended Chernihiv region.

"I want to thank you separately for running your businesses and creating jobs. Preserving jobs today is already courageous. And when it is possible to multiply them, it is indeed a great success for the entire country because then people have jobs and do not leave for other cities, villages, or countries," he said.

As Volodymyr Zelensky noted, the "Made in Ukraine" platform is aimed, among other things, at providing tangible support to the regions of our country.

"We want to help businesses on the ground with our steps. To boost our businesses, help them create additional jobs. And most importantly: our visits are not only for inspection but also for signing concrete contracts, memorandums," he said.

The President pointed out that today, in addition to the priority defense industry, other important sectors include the chemical industry, construction, mechanical engineering, logistics, and many other industries.

First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko said that the goal of "Made in Ukraine" is to support Ukrainian manufacturers, from the smallest to the largest, to change the structure of the economy by increasing the share of the processing industry and increasing the production of goods with high added value.

According to her, this year, as part of "Made in Ukraine," Chernihiv region will receive UAH 1.25 billion.

Meeting participants raised problematic issues that concern entrepreneurs in the region today, including access to affordable loans and state procurement of domestic engineering products.

The President emphasized the priority of domestic manufacturers in public procurement, as it provides jobs for Ukrainian citizens and strengthens the country's economic resilience.

The President said the Affordable Loans 5-7-9% program would not be narrowed. On the contrary, he instructed the Prime Minister and the First Deputy Prime Minister to expand it. Volodymyr Zelensky pointed out that the Minister of Finance and the Governor of the National Bank will review all refusal cases regarding entrepreneurs from the front-line and de-occupied territories.
