Malyar: Ukrainian defenders liberated almost 6,000 square kilometers of territory

This was stated by Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Anna Malyar.

“Almost 6,000 sq. km,” she wrote.

For comparison, we note that the area of ​​the Chernivtsi region is 8097 km².

Recall that the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine continues in the south and the Kharkiv region. The General Staff reports on dozens of de-occupied villages. On September 8, it became known that Balakliya had been taken under control. The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to liberate the settlements of the Kupyansk and Izyum districts of the Kharkiv region.

  • On September 10, President Volodymyr Zelensky said that since the beginning of the month, the Armed Forces of Ukraine had liberated about 2,000 square kilometers.
  • As the head of the Kharkiv MA, Oleg Sinegubov, said, as of September 11, 2022, the Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated about 40 settlements in the Kharkiv region.
  • In the south, over the past two weeks, the Ukrainian military has advanced in different areas from 4 to several tens of kilometers, and almost 500 sq. km have been liberated. In particular, settlements in the Kherson region – Vysokopolie, Novovoznesenskoe, Belogorka, a dry pond, and Mirolyubovka – have already been liberated.
