Mark Feygin: The West severely limits Ukraine in terms of strikes against Russia, but this will not happen with Belarus at all

Lawyer and well-known blogger Mark Feygin talks about how the ruler of Belarus found himself between two fires.

After the European Parliament's resolution recognizing Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism, many drew attention to the behavior of Putin's closest ally. And they asked themselves: is the ruler of Belarus a friend of the Kremlin, or the rumors that they are thinking of “replacing” Lukashenko are not groundless?

“I think Lukashenko’s fuss is also connected with the fact that the West is finally determined concerning his regime - and a lot follows from this, by the way,” says Mark Feygin on the Fabrika Novyn channel, “and the fact that Moscow is putting pressure on him (apparently pressure increased).

Moscow is indeed not in a brilliant position, and an attack from the north, even if it does not aim to capture Kyiv or reach Lviv and stop the supply of Western weapons from Poland, will at least allow a significant part of the Armed Forces to be diverted to this northern sector to provide at least some then relative success.

It seems that Lukashenka strongly resists, not only the involvement of his armed forces (it was not by chance that he said at the CSTO: they say we have only 35-40 thousand, they won’t make the weather, why to bother us). Lukashenko realized what signal he was being sent: dear friend: if your occupied country becomes a springboard from which Russian troops (not even Belarusian ones) move into Ukraine, then you will receive a missile attack."

According to the blogger, through its channels, the Ukrainian side informed the ruler of Belarus that the retaliatory shelling of Belarusian territory is a completely real scenario, and he is aware of the seriousness of the consequences.

"And take a note, unlike Russian targets, when the West severely limits Ukraine in terms of strikes, this will not happen with Belarus at all - shoot even at Minsk, even at Brest,” Mark Feigin believes. "February-March is one thing, when everything has just begun, chaos, and Ukraine still did not know how to behave, but now - who will have a reflection, after everything that happened, after more than nine months?

That's why, it seems to me, Lukashenko fussed and repeated at the CSTO: they say, we must all work together, we are friends. And I saw that this was not the case: the final statement was not accepted because of Pashinyan, Kazakhstan does not need it."
