The government has approved a resolution to launch a Sandbox—an instrument that allows companies to pilot and develop high-tech products under government oversight.
Ukrainian startups will be able to receive a full audit, as well as individual consultations and recommendations to create and develop products in conditions of uncertain legislation.
The Sandbox will be established for companies launching high-tech products that can be used in the fields of the digital economy, public services, healthcare, biotechnology, agriculture, education and science, defense, and more. These products must utilize artificial intelligence or blockchain technology.
Here’s how it will work:
- Through the Innovation Development Fund's web portal, a company submits an application to participate, providing information about itself.
- The application is processed by an administrator.
- If the company meets the established requirements, the applicant will have the opportunity to add a description of the product.
- Experts prepare a product research plan and agree on it with the company.
- Following this, the process of working with the product begins involving various specialists.
Currently, the program will operate for two years, until the end of 2026, but in the future, the Sandbox may become a permanent tool for supporting innovation in Ukraine.
