As of now, 62,948 people are listed as missing in the Register of Persons Missing Under Special Circumstances, according to Arthur Dobroserdov, Commissioner for Missing Persons, as reported by the Communication Department of Ukraine’s Ministry of Internal Affairs.

“The search continues for 62,948 individuals recorded in this register. This number includes both military personnel and civilians. So far, the whereabouts and identities of 10,291 deceased persons have been established,” Dobroserdov stated.

He noted that the register primarily includes individuals who went missing in combat zones or Russian-occupied territories of Ukraine.

Additionally, the register contains data on people who disappeared due to extraordinary events, as well as natural or man-made disasters.
