More than 21,000 Ukrainian enterprises operate in Poland. This was stated by the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk, during a speech at an international conference in Lublin.
"I am sincerely surprised by the number of Ukrainian companies that partially or entirely work in Poland. These are more than 21 thousand enterprises. For comparison, 93,000 companies with a share of foreign capital are operating in Poland. That is, about 23% are enterprises with a share of the Ukrainian capital. The volume of our investments compared to other countries is truly impressive. The governments of both states will find tools that will allow regulating the conditions of conducting Ukrainian business in Poland precisely in the legislative field," Iryna Vereshchuk emphasized.
In particular, the temporary trade liberalization regime with the European Union, valid until June 2023, has proven its effectiveness. The Deputy Prime Minister reported that negotiations are currently underway to extend this grace period.
"We really hope that Poland, as always, will become our defender and help us to obtain the necessary conditions for Ukrainian business in the EU," Iryna Vereshchuk summed up.
