With regard to the yearly naval manoeuvres "Sea Breeze" organised by NATO, more than 30 units of ships, boats and vessels from the Ukrainian Navy, the Maritime Guard of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, the US Navy and other NATO member countries and partners are expected to participate.

According to the deputy commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Captain First Rank Alexey Doskato, the North-Western part of the Black Sea, as well as Nikolaev, Kherson and Odessa regions will become a training ground for exercises involving sea, air, coastal and diving components.

This year, a significant increase in the composition of forces and assets of the coastal component is expected, in particular from the marines of Ukraine and the United States, a large number of armored vehicles and artillery. We plan to involve planes and helicopters from the American side and from the Ukrainian naval aviation, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the State Border Service, as well as Bayraktar TB2 unmanned aerial systems to the air component.

Operational-tactical unmanned aerial vehicles Bayraktar TB2, which are in service with the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, will take part in the annual Ukrainian-American military exercises Sea Breeze this summer.

Participants will train in the search and destruction of submarines together with naval and patrol aircraft, as well as practice intercepting intruder ships. In addition, the protection of sea lines of communication and escort of important cargo, landing operations will be organized. Practical artillery firing will also be carried out at sea and air defense measures will be worked out.

The Naval Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces will manage the application of all components of the Sea Breeze-2021 exercise.
