The government has ordered a comprehensive inspection of all the largest state-owned enterprises, particularly in the energy and defense sectors.

This was reported by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko on Telegram.

“The government has instructed a comprehensive review of all major state-owned enterprises, especially in the energy and defense industries. Special attention will be paid to transparency in procurement and financial control,” Svyrydenko stated.

According to her, the supervisory boards of Naftogaz, Ukroboronprom, Ukrzaliznytsia, Ukrhydroenergo, and state-owned banks must, within their powers, analyze the activities of the companies’ executive bodies.

“In case violations are identified, additional measures must be taken to strengthen control and inform the government. Proper and prompt responses must also be ensured regarding any reports from law enforcement agencies about offenses committed by officials of these joint-stock companies,” Svyrydenko emphasized.

At the same time, the State Audit Service will carry out a state financial control of large enterprises in the public sector, including the efficient use of budget funds and the accuracy of financial reporting.
