The number of Russian attacks has decreased against the backdrop of their preparation for a new massive strike. Currently, the enemy is assessing the readiness of Ukraine's air defense systems.
This was stated by the head of the Joint Press Center of the South Operational Command Natalia Humenyuk during a telethon broadcast.
Humenyuk noted that Russian forces have been launching a small number of drones over Ukraine in recent days, as they prepare for a new attack on Ukraine.
"Lately, the enemy has indeed been using such batches - 10 or more kamikaze drones during the night. Sometimes 3-4 drones per night are directed towards areas where they assess the readiness of air defense systems, rather than attempting to cause damage," she explained.
In particular, Humenyuk pointed out that this tactic is justified by the fact that the Russian forces are preparing for further attacks, so Ukrainians need to prepare without fear for future shelling.
"It is necessary to keep essentials ready to collect and go to shelter. It is worth remembering that combat actions sometimes result in a downed missile or drone causing damage or injuries with its fragments," she warned.
