The Ukrainian Film Academy and the House of Europe, together with Netflix, are launching two initiatives to help Ukrainian creators in Ukraine and around the world who have been affected or displaced by the war to continue and develop their work.

This is stated in the message of the Ukrainian Film Academy on the official website.

"These two programs will provide financial support and access to training and experts for Ukrainian filmmakers at all levels of their careers. Applicants who meet the requirements can apply on the websites of House of Europe and the Ukrainian Film Academy from July 28," the message says.

Thus, the Ukrainian Film Academy program provides 48 script development grants worth $15,000 each for two-person teams of experienced film professionals (screenwriter and producer), as well as exclusive online sessions with international industry experts.

The program, led by the House of Europe, will provide one hundred scholarships of 1,000 euros for creators of all levels, training in filmmaking, post-production, and pitching from Netflix for entry-level and intermediate-level professionals.

The initiatives are supported by the Netflix Fund for Creative Equity, a global fund launched in early 2021 that aims to create more opportunities for people from underrepresented or marginalized communities to make their voices heard.

Every Ukrainian creator, regardless of location, can apply to participate in these initiatives through the website of the Ukrainian Film Academy (for screenwriting grants and expert meetings) and House of Europe (for scholarships and education). With the support of leading international and Ukrainian institutions, the creators will be able to develop their careers in the film and television industry.
