On Wednesday, February 5, the head of the UK's Foreign Ministry, David Lammy, will announce new support for Ukraine totaling £55 million (about $68.7 million).

This was reported by the UK Foreign Ministry’s press service.

On February 5, Lammy is visiting Kyiv. As part of the visit, the British minister will meet with President Volodymyr Zelensky, his colleague Andriy Sibih, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, and Vice Prime Minister Olha Stefanishyna.

Lammy will announce the allocation of £17 million (about $21.2 million) for innovative energy projects to support the restoration and sustainable development of Ukraine’s energy system.

It is noted that the InnovateUkraine competition will encourage collaboration between British, Ukrainian, and international businesses and research institutions with the goal of finding sustainable, scalable, and resilient energy solutions for the future.

To support Ukraine's private sector and the resilience of small and medium-sized businesses, a new economic recovery program, announced by British Prime Minister Keir Starmer as part of a 100-year partnership, will receive an additional £10 million (about $12.4 million) to help rebuild, restore, and reform Ukraine's economy for the future.

Another £25 million (about $31.2 million) from the UK will be directed toward supporting Ukraine in strengthening more inclusive, effective, and operational social systems and services.

Additionally, £3 million (about $3.7 million) will be provided by the UK for the supply of Ukrainian grain and other food products to Syria.

"Our support for Ukraine remains unbreakable. We are determined to put Ukraine in the strongest possible position, both in its fight against Russia and beyond, with our long-term relationship cemented by the 100 Year Partnership," Lammy said.
