At the State Enterprise "Odessa Aviation Plant", which is part of the State Concern "Ukroboronprom" and specialises in providing services for repair and modernization of aircraft for the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and other customers in Ukraine and abroad, a presentation of an aircraft manufactured by Softex Invest (Brovary, Ukraine).

V-24-I is a mini-plane of new generation. It is a twin-engine light plane, designed by the company especially for customers, who appreciate safety and comfort in combination with high flight characteristics and modern technologies.

This is a twin-engine 4-seater business class aircraft with a takeoff weight of only 1.3 tons. It is equipped with reciprocating engines with Rotax-912 propellers, which can be refueled with high-octane gasoline.

The maximum speed of the aircraft is up to 300 km/h. There are four seats in the cockpit - for the pilot and co-pilot (or a passenger) and two passenger seats.

We are glad that Odessa was chosen for the presentation, for the first flights, to start in the usual mode, starting in the spring of next year, flights on such planes and helicopters. According to the organisers, several cities will be included in this project: Kyiv to Kharkiv, Lviv, Dnipro and Odessa.

The aircraft is arranged as a twin pusher engine low wing mono-plane with one-piece wing and T-empennage. The aircraft incorporates a tricycle retractable landing gear with steerable nose gear. Airframe made from composite materials with foam core and epoxy resin using vacuum technology. All materials used in the constructions correspond to Aviation requirements or DIN.

V-24-I is equipped with two reliable low-consumption Mogas engines Rotax 912 (100 h.p.) (These engines may use both, automobile with octane grade 95), which in combination with three-blade swept, auto feather pusher propellers MT-Propeller with changeable pitch in flight makes a great impression. They are powerful and low-consumption at the same time.

The first demonstration of flights and presentation of aircraft takes place in Odessa. This is an excellent news, because investors believed in Ukraine and attracted funds for production, a plane was produced, which we will see in the sky today.

Flight time on a mini-plane between Kyiv and Odessa is about two hours. Airplanes can take off both from ordinary large airports and small runways of small aircraft. The estimated cost of the ticket is 300-400 dollars (up to 10 thousand hryvnias) for one passenger there and back.
