Nova Post announced the opening of a new logistics hub near Chișinău (Moldova) with an area of 3,800 sq. m and a processing capacity of up to 10,000 parcels per hour, investing €800,000 in the project.
According to the company’s release, the new terminal operates 24/7 and combines all processes in one location — from parcel sorting to customs clearance.
Among other things, the site includes freight branch No. 25 for shipments weighing over 30 kg.
It is noted that the terminal handles all types of shipments, from documents and parcels to oversized cargo.
Currently, the hub processes an average of 35,000 parcels per day, with a recent peak of 80,000 shipments in a single day.
“Shipment volumes in Moldova are steadily growing, and consolidating all processes in one place allowed us [...] to reduce the average delivery time by two hours. The new terminal made logistics faster: intercity routes are dispatched twice a day, and deliveries to branches every 2.5 hours. We invested 800,000 euros in opening the terminal,” said Serhii Shapran, CEO of Nova Post in Moldova.
According to him, the launch of the new terminal has reduced average delivery times by two hours. Intercity routes now depart twice a day, and deliveries to branches are dispatched every 2.5 hours.
The company also said the terminal includes its first fulfillment hub, with one of its first clients being a Ukrainian brand.
Nova Post added that it plans to continue expanding its logistics infrastructure in Moldova, including launching a new sorting center in Bălți.
