Number of injured in Kharkiv drone attack rises to 14, including 4 children

On the night of June 12, the Russians again attacked Kharkiv with drones. As a result of the shelling, fires were recorded and there are casualties.

This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

“During the night, the enemy attacked Kharkiv with drones. Fires broke out in the Saltivskyi, Slobidskyi, and Shevchenkivskyi districts of the city – houses, stores, and cars were burning,” the report said.

 

The emergency services also informed that the number of injured increased to 16 (previously it was known to be 12), including 4 children. According to the Kharkiv regional police, 16 residents of Kharkiv sustained various injuries as a result of the shelling, five of them were hospitalized. Among the injured are four children aged 2, 12, 16, and 17.

The two-year-old boy was hospitalized. In the morning, the city mayor Ihor Terekhov reported that the Russian forces attacked the city from 01:37 to 03:08. There were 11 confirmed hits in the city, and one Shahed drone did not explode.

“Fires occurred on the territories of residential buildings and educational institutions. In some cases, fragments fell right near children's playgrounds. One of the strikes damaged the elevator shaft of a multi-story building, another destroyed part of a non-residential building and a public transport stop,” he wrote.
