Golden double for Independence Day of Ukraine: triumph of the Odessa teams at the Ukrainian Rugby-7 Cups for men and women.

The first match of them was played in Odessa, the second in Kyiv, as the Rugby Federation of the Odessa region reported.

The women's national team of Odessa defeated the folliwing teams:

• Ivano-Frankivsk "Prykarpatski wolf" (44 : 0)
• Kyiv "Aviator" (38:17), the winner of the Cup of Ukraine-2020
• Kharkov "HTZ-Olimp" ( 31:12), which had previously won three victories in three matches
• Lviv "Lionesses" (14:12), already meaningless duel, because Odessa women won the trophy ahead of schedule

In Kyiv, the Odessa men's club CREDO-1963 defeated its rivals in the group - Dnipro Dnipro (48: 0) and the local Antares (31: 5); in the semifinals defeated its main rival in this tournament: Evolution- 7's "(29: 7), and in the final they beat Sokil from Lviv (33:12).

Thus, like the women's team, the men's team won four victories in four games with a total score of 141: 24 and took the Ukrainian Rugby-7 Cup to Odessa.

It is worth mentioning that the women's team of Odessa may very soon secure the third in a row championship in the Ukrainian Superleague in rugby-7, and CREDO-1963 continues to confidently take the second place in the Ukrainian Superleague in rugby-15.
