Representatives of the National Police of Ukraine Department of Strategic Investigations in Odessa Oblast and investigators of the Odessa District Police Department â„– 1 blocked the illegal channel and exposed its organizers. The participants estimated the "transfer" services at $ 5,000.
Two citizens set up a "scheme" by which men of military age could leave Ukraine without hindrance. One of the organizers took them to the border with Moldova and received $ 1,500 for it, while the other met and escorted them directly to their destination, bypassing the official checkpoints. He received $ 3,500 for such support.
On June 22, police detained one of the perpetrators while receiving $ 1,500, and another while trying to smuggle a "tourist."
Both malefactors are detained according to Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. The issue of notification of suspicion of committing a criminal offense under Part 3 of Art. 332 of the Criminal code of Ukraine. Procedural guidance is provided by the Kyiv District Prosecutor's Office of Odessa.
For illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine, they may face imprisonment for a term of seven to nine years.
