Today, April 23, from 14.00 to 15.00, the air defense grouping of the Operational Command “South” conducted combat operations to destroy enemy cruise missiles, which were launched by strategic aircraft TU-95 of Russia from the Caspian Sea.

During the conduct of hostilities, the soldiers of the anti-aircraft missile units destroyed two enemy cruise missiles (previously Kh555 or Kh101), which carried out a strike on the city of Odessa and 2 UAVs of the operational-tactical level, which allegedly carried out the correction of the flight of cruise missiles and put active obstacles to the forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Unfortunately, 2 missiles hit a military facility and two residential buildings.

Residents of the city heard explosions in different areas. It is now known that several missiles were shot down. Citizens saw explosions in the sky and falling burning debris.

At least one rocket fell and exploded. They got into houses. It is already known about one dead. He burned to death in his car in the yard of one of the houses. Later the Operational Command “South” informed about two more killed civilians.

The head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak reports 5 dead and 18 wounded. It is reported that a three-month-old baby died.
