Military expert Oleg Zhdanov commented on the recent words of Polish President Andrzej Duda that "within a few months or weeks there will come a decisive moment" of Russia's war against Ukraine, which "will answer the question: will Ukraine survive or not." He stated this in an interview with TSN.ua.
"It sounds realistic. All these statements refer to the deadline announced by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Zaluzhny. He said that the likely date is the end of February, March, or the beginning of April. During this period of time, Russia will try to send troops and try to restore offensive operations. Then it will be decisive for us," Zhdanov said.
According to him, the Ukrainians will have to survive in this defense operation and inflict a significant defeat on the Russian troops. Therefore, the further course of the war will depend on this attempt by Russia.
âEither everything will turn into a positional war, and then this may lead to the start of negotiations. Or if we inflict a significant defeat on the Russian army, then we will have the opportunity to go on a counteroffensive to liberate the territories,â the expert summed up.
Recall that the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valery Zaluzhny, said Russia is accumulating people and weapons for a new offensive. The general believes this offensive "may take place in February, at best in March, at worst - at the end of January."
According to him, the Russians will either again attack Kyiv from the north, or they will advance in the Donbas or in the south.
