Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Khyzhniak won the gold medal at the 2024 Olympic Games, bringing Ukraine its third gold in Paris.

In the final of the 80 kg weight category, Oleksandr Khyzhniak defeated the 2023 World Champion, Nurbek Oralbay from Kazakhstan, with a score of 3:2. The 29-year-old from Poltava secured his first Olympic gold. Khyzhniak previously won silver in the 75 kg weight category at Tokyo 2020.
