The operational situation on the Pokrovsk direction remains difficult, with around fifty combat clashes occurring there daily, but Ukrainian forces continue to hold the defense.
This was reported by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi.
“The operational situation on the Pokrovsk direction remains difficult. In the Pokrovsk-Myrnohrad agglomeration, a grueling confrontation continues. About fifty combat clashes take place here daily,” he noted.
Syrskyi added that during his working trip, he worked directly with military command authorities and unit commanders on the ground.
“The enemy is trying to increase pressure: bringing in reserves to Pokrovsk, seeking opportunities to break through our defense both through sporadic mass assaults and through covert advances by small infantry groups,” emphasized the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.
He explained that under such conditions, organizing defense requires full situational awareness, flexible decisions, and precise calculation. Special attention was given to preserving the lives of personnel and maintaining the combat readiness of units. Based on reports, he also identified priority tasks, focusing on strengthening defense resilience, ensuring uninterrupted logistics, enhancing fire effectiveness, and coordinated interaction across all levels of command.
“Despite the difficult situation, Ukrainian servicemen hold the line. Their professionalism, endurance, dedication, and combat experience prevent Russian occupiers from achieving their objectives of breaking through to the western lines of Donetsk region,” the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces emphasized.
