Under the flag of Panama, the CAPTAIN LEONIDAS has become the largest vessel among all those entering Ukrainian ports since the start of the full-scale invasion. The length of this vessel is 300 meters, width - 50 meters, deadweight - over 203 thousand tons. This was reported by Vice Prime Minister for Reconstruction of Ukraine - Minister of Development of Communities, Territories, and Infrastructure of Ukraine Olexander Kubrakov.
As of now, over 36 million tons of cargo have been exported through the Ukrainian maritime corridor since August 2023. This exceeds the Grain Initiative's indicators for a year of existence. Already, 1286 vessels have passed through the Ukrainian corridor, exporting 25 million tons of agricultural products to countries in Asia, Africa, and Europe. Currently, 135 vessels are expected to arrive at the ports of Odessa, Chornomorsk, and Yuzhny to export 4 million tons of cargo.
The team of the Ministry of Development of Communities, Territories, and Infrastructure of Ukraine is making a lot of effort to ensure the stable movement of exports by sea transport and to achieve indicators by 2022. The Ukrainian corridor is an effective logistic route, the rhythmic operation of which is the result of the joint efforts of the state, the Joint Forces Operation, and the entire maritime infrastructure team.
