Due to Russia’s drone and missile attack on Ukraine, Polish Air Force aircraft were launched into the air.
This was announced by the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces on the X platform.
“In connection with the Russian Federation’s attack, which is targeting facilities located on the territory of Ukraine, Polish and allied aircraft have begun operating in our airspace,” the statement reads.
In accordance with current procedures, the operational commander deployed all available forces and assets — combat-ready fighter pairs were launched, and ground-based air defense and radar reconnaissance systems were brought to the highest state of readiness.
It is noted that these measures are aimed at ensuring security in areas adjacent to the threatened regions.
“The Operational Command of the Armed Forces is monitoring the situation, and the forces and assets under its command are fully prepared to respond immediately,” the post emphasizes.
