On the night of May 26, Poland deploys fighter jets amid a massive Russian attack on Ukrainian regions.
This was reported by the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces.
“Please note that in the southeastern part of the country, noise levels may increase due to the start of flights by Polish and allied aircraft in our airspace,” the statement said.
Polish military officials noted that this was "the second very tense night in a row for the entire Polish air defense system," related to missile strikes by Russia on targets in Ukraine involving long-range aviation.
They added that all necessary procedures were employed to ensure the security of Poland’s airspace.
“The Operational Command of the Armed Forces is monitoring the current situation, and its subordinate forces and means remain fully ready for immediate response,” the agency reported.
