Polish hauliers may begin a protest today, May 12, near the Dorohusk border checkpoint, opposite the Ukrainian checkpoint Yahodyn.
This was reported by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, citing information from their Polish counterparts.
"The Polish side has informed us that due to these actions, the crossing of freight vehicles will be limited to one truck per hour in each direction," the agency clarified.
Buses and trucks carrying humanitarian aid will be allowed to pass without restrictions.
The protest actions by Polish hauliers are preliminarily expected to last for four months.
"As of now, freight traffic is operating as usual, but we urge drivers to take this information into account when planning to cross the border at Yahodyn–Dorohusk," the Ukrainian border service added.
Meanwhile, the Polish Committee for the Protection of Transport Carriers and Employers announced via Facebook that they plan to protest at the border with Ukraine from May 12 to September 12, 2025.
