Polish farmers are blocking three directions at the border with Ukraine. Trucks are practically not allowed to enter Poland.
This was reported by the spokesperson of the State Border Guard Service Andriy Demchenko in a telethon.
"The blocking continues on three directions: Rava-Ruska, Yahodyn, and Ugriniv. Polish farmers on all these three directions are not allowing any cargo vehicles towards Poland, while only a few trucks are being allowed per hour towards Ukraine," the spokesperson said.
Demchenko noted that the Yahodyn checkpoint is the largest infrastructure point on the border between Ukraine and Poland. It can pass 1200-1400 trucks per day. However, only 70 trucks arrived towards Ukraine in the past day.
As of the morning of April 4, there are about 400 trucks waiting in queues at the blocked checkpoints.
There are also queues at unblocked checkpoints. In Krakovets, 500 trucks are in line, and in Shehyni, there are 450. Despite the intensive traffic on these directions, queues are formed due to the blocking of other checkpoints.
