Polish farmers have promised to continue the blockade of the "Medyka-Shehyni" border crossing point with Ukraine until January.
This was announced by one of the protest organizers, Roman Kondrow, according to Wiadomosci Rolnicze Polska.
He complained that farmers are losing two thousand zlotys per hectare of grown corn, as they sell it very cheaply against the backdrop of competition with prices for Ukrainian agricultural products.
Kondrow also noted that one of the farmers' demands is for the Polish government not to raise the land tax.
"We are in solidarity with the carriers because these industries have suffered the most damage," he added, stating that the blockade of the "Medyka-Shehyni" crossing point will continue from Monday, November 27, to January 3.
Kondrow clarified that only two trucks per day would be allowed to pass, and all humanitarian aid would be delivered to Ukraine without restrictions.
