Portugal has pledged to provide Ukraine with 220 million euros in assistance in 2024. Lisbon intends to maintain the same level of support in 2025 as well.

Prime Minister of Portugal, Luís Montenegro, made this announcement, as reported by JN.

"Just this year, according to our estimates, we will achieve a support volume of over 220 million euros, which will be repeated next year, all within the framework of the final settlement that will be established at this summit," he stated.

Montenegro also added that Portugal intends to reach 2% of budgetary expenditures on defense, which will be achieved a year earlier than expected, by 2029.

"This international coalition is also considering the possibility of making a significant financial contribution to military, humanitarian, political, and economic support for Ukraine," he emphasized.
