PROMIN’ Festival presents a day of contemporary Ukrainian cinema and video art in Lisbon
On July 25, 2026, Cinema São Jorge in Lisbon will host PROMIN’ Festival — an international festival of contemporary Ukrainian cinema and video art, presenting Portuguese and international audiences with a selection of documentary and feature films, video art, and meetings with Ukrainian filmmakers and artists.
Throughout the day, visitors will have the opportunity to attend seven film screenings and artistic presentations exploring themes of war, memory, identity, human resilience, and contemporary Ukrainian art.
The festival programme includes:
- the documentary film We Will Not Fade Away by director Alisa Kovalenko;
- the video art piece Declaration of Intentions and Doubt by Anna Zvyagintseva;
- the documentary film The Silent Flood by Dmytro Sukholytkyi-Sobchuk;
- the video work Explosions Near the Museum by Yarema Malashchuk and Roman Khimei;
- the special program Delayed Premiere: Ukrainian Art Films of the 1990s;
- the documentary film Cuba & Alaska by Yehor Troyanovskyi;
- the feature film Honeymoon by director Zhanna Ozirna.
Following selected screenings, Q&A sessions and Artist Talks will provide an opportunity to meet and engage directly with the creators of the presented works.

Admission to film screenings is ticketed. Short film screenings and the video art program are free of charge.
