Portuguese defense company TEKEVER opens office in Ukraine. The company shared the news with AIN representatives.

With the opening of its Ukrainian office, TEKEVER plans to expand its workforce, increase its network of engineering-service and research facilities, and create new training centers to enhance joint operations with Ukrainian partners.

The company has been working with the Ukrainian military since 2022, providing unmanned aerial systems for reconnaissance, surveillance, target detection, and guidance. Their flagship UAV, the AR3, has already logged over 10,000 flight hours in combat conditions in Ukraine.

"Opening an office in Ukraine will allow TEKEVER to strengthen this support: accelerate the adaptation of its systems, increase training opportunities for Ukrainian partners, and foster cooperation with other organizations in the region to develop new solutions."

Additionally, the launch of the new office will enable TEKEVER to attract new talent and innovations that are currently emerging in Ukraine.

Ricardo Mendes, CEO of TEKEVER, said: “Ukraine is becoming a hub of defense and technological innovations during the war and is home to incredibly inventive and resilient professionals. By officially starting our presence in Ukraine, we will continue to invest in this talent and support innovations that are crucial to protecting Ukraine and ensuring the future security of all Europe.”

TEKEVER is a company specializing in information, aerospace, defense, and security technologies. Headquartered in Lisbon, Portugal, it was founded in 2001 by former students of the IST engineering school.

TEKEVER develops various types of drones based on an AI platform that integrates Edge AI, satellite communication, and cloud computing. This enables the company to provide clients with real-time information and analytics via web and mobile interfaces accessible from anywhere in the world. The company has research, engineering, and production centers in Portugal, France, and the UK.
