Over the past 24 hours, multiple regions across Ukraine have experienced intense attacks by Russian forces, resulting in casualties, significant damage to civilian infrastructure, and ongoing humanitarian concerns.
Dnipropetrovsk Region
Three people were injured in two districts of Dnipropetrovsk region due to Russian strikes, according to Serhii Lysak, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration. The Russian army shelled communities in the Nikopol district — including Nikopol, Pokrovske, Marhanets, and Myrove — using heavy artillery and drones. A 61-year-old man was wounded, and three private houses alongside 30 solar panels were damaged.
In the Novopavlivka community of Synelnykove district, Russian forces targeted with guided aerial bombs. Two people were injured and are receiving outpatient treatment. One private house was destroyed and two others damaged.
Zaporizhzhia Region
Russian troops launched 397 attacks on ten settlements in Zaporizhzhia region, injuring a 49-year-old man in Polohy district, reported Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration. The Russian military carried out four airstrikes on Huliaipole and Orikhiv. Additionally, 215 drones—mostly FPV types—targeted several communities, including Lobkove, Kamianske, and Huliaipole.
Three rocket artillery strikes hit Huliaipole, Orikhiv, and Shcherbaky, while 175 artillery strikes targeted multiple settlements, damaging apartments, private houses, and vehicles. In a separate incident, at least five bombs were dropped on the village of Verkhnyaya Tersa, destroying homes and trapping residents under the rubble.
Kherson Region
Between May 28 and 29, ten people were injured in the Kherson region amid ongoing Russian aggression. According to Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional State Administration, multiple settlements including Bilozerka, Beryslav, Antonivka, and the city of Kherson itself endured drone attacks, artillery shelling, and airstrikes. Damage was reported to two apartment buildings, eight private homes, gas pipelines, farm buildings, and vehicles.
Donetsk Region
On May 28, Russian forces killed one resident of Donetsk region and injured 13 others. Vadym Filashkin, head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, stated that the fatality occurred in Rivne, with others wounded across the region. He noted that the reported casualties exclude those from Mariupol and Volnovakha, where fighting has been especially intense.
Meanwhile, Sloviansk in Donetsk region came under attack overnight by 12 Shahed-type drones, causing injuries to one person and damage near Heolohichna Street, according to Vadym Liakh, head of the Sloviansk City Military Administration.
Sumy Region
Russian troops also attacked four communities in Sumy region with UAV strikes last night, resulting in one death and one injury, as well as property destruction, said Oleh Hryhorov, head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration.
“At dawn, the enemy attacked the village of Verkhnyaya Tersa with GAB bombs. At least five aerial bombs were dropped on private housing,” he wrote.
