The Brave1 defense technology cluster will provide up to 150 million UAH to explosive manufacturers for scaling production.

This was announced by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov.

“Brave1 is launching the Brave Competition for the development of explosive production. For the first time, we are investing not in R&D, but in production capacities. This is a chance to receive up to 150 million UAH with 30% co-financing. It is also an opportunity to develop the production of high explosives and initiating explosives, as well as nitrocellulose,” the announcement reads.

According to Fedorov, companies will be able to use the funds to launch or expand production lines, purchase equipment, chemical components, and systems.

The competition conditions are confidential. Only manufacturers who submit a request by September 9, pass compliance checks, and sign a non-disclosure agreement will be able to access them. During selection, participants will undergo technical evaluation by the Security and Defense Forces. A control commission will be present during testing, and each stage of the project’s implementation will be subject to oversight.
