Ukraine and Poland will jointly develop the Gdansk-Black Sea transport corridor to increase trade, according to Ukrainian Minister of Infrastructure Vladyslav Kryklii.

The Minister stated this at the Ukrainian-Polish Economic Forum in Odessa on Tuesday, October 13, visited by the President of Poland Andrzej Duda and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

He added that Ukraine and Poland have a common ambitious goal for active development and it will be achieved much faster through the realization of common transit and infrastructure potential.

To increase trade between Poland and Ukraine, we are launching cooperation on the development of the Gdansk-Black Sea transport corridor and a memorandum will be signed today between the [Ukrainian] Sea Ports Authority and the Port of Gdansk Authority.

Our priorities include the construction of a transport corridor between the Baltic and Black Seas, and a lot has already been done this year.

He added that 6,000 kilometers of roads, including 4,000 kilometers of State roads, are being built in Ukraine as part of the implementation of the president's nationwide construction program and UAH 5 billion has been allocated for the construction of the Go Highway international transport corridor and more than 100 kilometers of roads under this project have already been built and repaired this year.

The large-scale reconstruction of the M-05 Kyiv-Odessa highway will begin next year, and it is also part of the Go Highway project, which is a combination of our Baltic and Black Seas, a combination of Gdansk and the ports of Greater Odessa.
