On the night of August 4 (starting from 7:30 PM on August 3), the Russian forces launched an attack using 162 strike drones of the Shahed type and various types of drone imitators from directions including Millerovo, Kursk, Bryansk, Orel in Russia, Hvardiyke in the occupied Crimea, as well as an aeroballistic Kh-47M2 Kinzhal missile.
The air assault was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, drone systems, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data as of 11:30 AM, air defense forces shot down or suppressed 161 hostile Shahed-type drones and various drone imitators across the north, south, east, and center of the country.
One drone strike was recorded as successful, with wreckage of downed drones found in nine locations in the Odessa and Kyiv regions.
