A Russian airstrike on a holiday resort in the Zaporizhzhia district has left two people dead and at least 12 others injured, including two children—one of whom is in critical condition.
The attack, reportedly carried out with high-explosive aerial bombs (FABs), targeted a resort complex, causing significant damage. Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, confirmed the incident on Telegram.
"The Russians launched at least four strikes on the resort in the Zaporizhzhia district, likely using FABs," Fedorov said.
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, nine people were hospitalized, and rescue teams transported the injured to emergency medical units. Firefighters are working to extinguish multiple fires, including burning outbuildings, vehicles, and five hotspots across open territory.
The strike damaged nine single-story holiday cottages. Emergency and rescue services remain at the site, continuing response and recovery operations.
