As a result of the Russian military attack on Kherson on the night of February 20, 15 apartments were destroyed, and windows were shattered in 80 homes. Currently, six people are reported to be injured, including two 14-year-old twins who are in the hospital in stable condition.
This was reported by the head of the Kherson Regional State Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin.
"Last night, the whole of Kherson shook from the 'impact' of a Russian-guided bomb on a ten-story building."
The explosion destroyed fifteen apartments—on the 1st to 10th floors of one of the entrances. Additionally, windows were shattered in 80 homes.
"At present, six people are known to have been injured, two of whom were rescued by the State Emergency Service from the 8th and 9th floors of the destroyed building. The twins, a boy and a girl, are currently in the hospital, and their condition is assessed as stable," the message states.
It is also noted that a 47-year-old man was hospitalized. He was in the parking lot area near the site of the explosion. He sustained shrapnel wounds and a fractured leg bone, according to the regional state administration.
Three other men received medical assistance on the spot. They suffered from concussions, and one of the Kherson residents had a head injury.
An operational headquarters has been set up at the site of the latest Russian terror attack. Around 120 people and 35 units of equipment are involved in the operation. These include rescue workers, police, doctors, utility workers, volunteers, and city authorities.
There may still be people trapped under the rubble. The debris removal and search for victims are ongoing.
