An international prosthetics center, Medical Center Orthotics & Prosthetics, has opened in Ukraine, where both military personnel and civilians who have lost limbs will receive modern treatment and rehabilitation.
This was reported by the Social Insurance Fund for Persons with Disabilities.
The center will provide high-quality functional prosthetics for complex cases, a comprehensive program for adapting to and optimizing walking with a prosthesis, and custom-made prostheses tailored to each patient’s needs.
The center’s team has arrived from the United States to share their years of experience with prosthetists and rehabilitation specialists working at the Ukrainian center. Leading global experts will now assist Ukrainian veterans in recovering from severe injuries.
“We support the opening and development of new high-quality and effective prosthetics centers because they become reliable partners of the state. Such centers are extremely important: they provide comprehensive recovery and adaptation for people with disabilities, help them return to active life, and successfully integrate into society,” said Vitaliy Muzychenko, Director General of the Social Insurance Fund.
