More critical than statements about terrorism is how many weapons the United States will provide to Ukraine to counter the Russian invasion, the expert believes.
The recognition of Russia as a sponsor of terrorism by the United States would entail the need to impose sanctions against Washington's allies.
Russian publicist Andrey Piontkovsky expressed this opinion on the air of the Freedom TV channel.
"The Americans take the laws very seriously. If the Russian Federation were declared a terrorist, according to the laws, tomorrow, they would have to impose sanctions on their allies - France and Germany. Despite all the sanctions, it has a wide range of economic relations with Russia. Yes, and sanctions are obvious against India and China for trading with a terrorist state. Biden is not ready for this," Piontkovsky said.
He recalled how Biden, who attaches great importance to relations with allies, blocked sanctions against Nord Stream 2 so as not to spoil relations with then Chancellor Angela Merkel.
Piontkovsky also noted that more important than statements about terrorism is how many weapons the US will provide to Ukraine to counter the Russian invasion.
