U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and U.K. Foreign Secretary David Lammy have announced a joint visit to Ukraine, demonstrating solidarity with Kyiv amid the Russian invasion.
According to Inkl,
'Antony and I will travel to Kyiv this week, marking the first joint visit by representatives from our countries in more than ten years. We are close allies, and this visit will reaffirm our commitment to supporting Ukraine,' David Lammy said.
Blinken emphasized the importance of the visit to Ukraine at this critical moment.
'I believe this is a critical moment for Ukraine in the midst of an intense autumn fighting season, as Russia continues to escalate its aggression,' he noted.
The U.S. Secretary of State added that Russia is intensifying its attacks on cities, people, and particularly on energy infrastructure and electricity, 'all in the run-up to the coldest months of the year.'
