Arestovich: Why Russia is so worried about Ukrainian grain

Adviser to the head of the President's Office Aleksey Arestovich, explained that Russia is trying to remove Ukraine from the grain market to sell its own and stolen grain in Ukraine.

At the same time, Russia will raise the issue of lifting sanctions against it.

Arestovich spoke about this in a conversation with Russian human rights activist Mark Feygin on June 7.

"All this talk about the food crisis is an attempt to oust Ukrainian producers, who are the main competitors of Russian agricultural producers and sell, push Russian grain into the market, and at the same time raise the issue of lifting sanctions. Otherwise, how to push it out?" - explained the adviser to the head of the OP.

"Besides, we need to rub a little Ukrainian grain and sell it as Russian. Everything is as usual," Arestovich added.

We'll remind that the Russian invaders destroyed in Mykolaiv the second largest grain terminal in Ukraine. The Russian Federation launched a missile strike on the city on June 4. As a result of the attack, the aggressor countries set fire to warehouses with grain meal.
