On June 1, 2025, drones attacked four Russian airfields, destroying or damaging dozens of cruise missile carriers.

This was reported by OSINT communities.

On June 1, four Russian military airfields came under drone attack: "Belaya," "Dyagilevo," "Olenya," and "Ivanovo."

Particular interest among Ukrainians was sparked by the strike on the "Belaya" airfield, located more than 4,500 kilometers from the Ukrainian border. This base had recently become the main location for Tu-95MS bombers launching Kh-101 cruise missiles against Ukraine.

As of May 31, the "Belaya" airbase in Irkutsk region reportedly housed:

  • 39 Tu-22M3
  • 30 MiG-31
  • 7 Tu-160
  • 6 Tu-95MS
  • 2 Il-78M
  • 6 An-26
  • 2 An-12

Eyewitnesses previously reported hearing over 10 explosions. Now a satellite image has surfaced showing the scale of the destruction.

The image clearly shows that three Tu-95MS bombers were completely destroyed and one was damaged. In addition, one Tu-22M3 was hit by the devastating strike.

On June 1, 2025, the Security Service of Ukraine, together with other units of the Defense Forces, carried out a large-scale special operation called “Spiderweb,” targeting Russian military airfields hosting strategic bombers.

At least four military airfields in Russia were struck, including those located in Irkutsk, Murmansk, Ryazan, and Ivanovo regions.
