Ukraine's humanitarian disaster scale is the largest since the Second World War. As a result of Russian aggression, more than 7 million resettled within the borders of Ukraine. These people are deprived of the opportunity to live and earn at home. Therefore, international humanitarian aid is important for supporting Ukrainians during the war.

"Together with the non-governmental organization "Ukraine - Scotland" and its leader Andrii Kharlanov, we managed to establish international cooperation with Scotland," says People's Deputy of Ukraine, head of the subcommittee on state youth policy Iryna Borzova.

Scotland has been following the events in Ukraine since the beginning of the war with concern. Residents of Scotland could not contain their emotions when they saw how babies are born in the subway and shelters in Ukraine. They wanted to help Ukrainian women and their babies. This is how the idea of collecting baby boxes for newborns appeared.

"The volunteer movement to collect baby boxes for newborns was initiated by Nivyena, a Ukrainian who studies in Scotland. Jackie Crawford supported her initiative, and later by people throughout Scotland. This is how the Scottish Preloved Baby Box for Ukraine project came into being," said Iryna Borzova.

Scottish baby boxes have everything you need for babies: clothes, diapers, hygiene products, cosmetics, feeding accessories, shoes, toys, and even cards written by Scots with wishes for good health and a peaceful sky.

Assistance is provided primarily to families of internally displaced persons and families of military personnel and is handed over personally in the presence of supporting documents.

Baby Box from Scotland is an additional charity. After all, even in wartime, families of newborns in Ukraine receive state aid "Baby Package" or monetary compensation in the amount of UAH 6,300 (at the family's choice).

"Scotland is a small country, but their support for Ukrainians in these difficult times is very strong. Many thanks to them. I thank the people of Scotland for their support of Ukraine and thank you for the cooperation of the public organization "Ukraine - Scotland", - says Iryna Borzova.
