Podolyak says that now the losses are much less than in June.
Ukraine managed to reduce combat losses by three times compared to the beginning of June when they amounted to 100-200 soldiers per day.
Mikhail Podolyak, the adviser to the head of the President's Office, told BBC Ukraine about this.
According to him, about 30-50 people are dying at the front daily.
âBut, again, itâs not entirely correct for us to talk about this. Itâs more correct when the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will give specific figures on how many people die,â he added.
According to Podolyak, the heavy losses in June were due to the transition to the second stage of the war, when an artillery war began and the enemy âfilled upâ Ukrainian positions.
"But today, the number of losses is decreasing, firstly, because our MLRS are working very effectively at the logistics centers of the Russian army. Secondly, the Russian army is being redeployed along the entire front line. And thirdly, ours have already adapted to the tactics of the Russian army and more mobile, more effective defense," he explained.
- On June 1, in an interview, President Volodymyr Zelensky said that between 60 and 100 Ukrainian soldiers are dying at the front every day. About 500 more people are injured daily.
- Even earlier, in mid-April, the president announced to the media the figure of the death of 2.5-3 thousand military Ukrainian Armed Forces in the war against the invaders. At the same time, about 10,000 Ukrainian soldiers were injured, and "it's hard to say how many will survive."
- The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine does not publish information about losses in our army.
