Great Britain is ready to assist Germany in overcoming differences and providing Ukraine with long-range Taurus missiles.
This was reported by the head of the British Foreign Ministry, David Cameron, in an interview with Süddeutsche Zeitung.
"We are determined to closely cooperate with our German partners on this issue, as well as on all other issues, to help Ukraine," said the Foreign Minister.
As Cameron explained, a possible circular exchange is envisaged. For example, Germany will transfer Taurus missiles to Britain, and London, in turn, will provide additional Storm Shadow missiles to Ukraine.
"We are ready to consider all options to achieve maximum effect for Ukraine... But we will not disclose any details and will not tell our opponents about our plans," added the minister.
Cameron dismissed concerns that the transfer of cruise missiles could lead to escalation.
"It is absolutely possible to establish restrictions on the use of this weapon to ensure that it does not contribute to escalation in any way," he said, adding that Britain trusts Ukraine's assurances.
