The volume of capital investments in Ukraine in 2022 decreased by 39.2% and amounted to 409.7 billion hryvnias.
This was reported by the State Statistics Service.
The agency clarified that the sectors most affected were legal and accounting activities, architecture and engineering, technical testing and research, where there was a decrease in capital investments by 83.3% to 2.2 billion hryvnias, as well as publishing, radio, and television broadcasting, which decreased by 64.7% to 2.2 billion hryvnias.
In real estate operations, the decline amounted to 53.4%, reaching 14.3 billion hryvnias; in public administration and defense, it decreased by 50.6% to 36.5 billion hryvnias; in the industrial sector, it fell by 48.1% to 126.1 billion hryvnias.
There was a significant increase of 78.9% in warehousing and storage – reaching 23.3 billion hryvnias. A slight increase was observed in forestry and logging by 3.5% to 1.5 billion hryvnias, and in scientific research and development by 21.1% to 3.2 billion hryvnias.
In a regional breakdown, the highest volume of capital investments in 2022 was recorded in Dnipropetrovsk region – 40.478 billion hryvnias, Kyiv region – 31.169 billion hryvnias, and Lviv region – 26.161 billion hryvnias.
