Oleksiy Danilov noted that one of the fundamental factors that still hold back the collapse of the aggressor country is its possession of nuclear weapons.

The collapse of Russia began on February 24, when the occupiers failed to realize their plans for Ukraine. Oleksiy Danilov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, said this on Channel 24.

According to him, the first 2-3 weeks after the start of a full-scale invasion in February were decisive for the Russian occupiers, but then their army began to collapse.

Danilov noted that one of the fundamental factors that still hold back the collapse of the aggressor country is its possession of nuclear weapons. In this context, Western governments need to maintain control over the situation. Therefore, they are looking for someone who can be Putin's successor.

"We understand that the West is not very pleased if the situation becomes uncontrollable. They are already looking for who will be the successor after Putin. And today, they realize that this situation must be controlled. I think they are tired of all sorts of experiments since 1991 with Russia, where there was a short period of supposed democracy, which lasted no more than 1.5-2 years," Danilov said.

The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council emphasized that Russia is doomed to disintegration and these processes continue, but he specified that this would definitely not happen quickly.

Danilov believes that many Russians will soon appear who will try to disassociate themselves from Putin's actions. And the local oligarchic groups can become uncontrollable if the decision to create "private" armies is nevertheless implemented in Russia.

"This will be the 'fence' that Putin is unlikely to be able to jump over," Danilov said.
