Mercenaries from Nepal, who arrived to fight against Ukraine in the ranks of the Russian army, are deserting en masse. Russian commanders are trying to find lame excuses for their leadership, explaining the situation.

This was reported by the press service of the Main Intelligence Directorate.

"The escape of Nepalese mercenaries, attached to the military unit 29328 of the Russian Armed Forces, is caused by huge losses in "meat grinders," cruel treatment by Moscow field commanders, including extrajudicial executions for refusing to obey orders to go to certain death, as well as non-payment of promised money," the intelligence explains.

It is noted that groups of Russian invaders are actively searching for deserters in the occupied Ukrainian settlements, particularly in the Luhansk region, but usually this process does not yield results.

The Main Intelligence Directorate notes that the leaders of the Russian motorized rifle military unit in reports and briefings "upstairs" explain the desertion of Nepalese with nonsense about the likely "return to their homeland due to an earthquake."

"However, getting back to Nepal from the occupied Luhansk region on their own is not an easy task. Moreover, participation in hostilities against Ukraine as part of the Russian army may expose Nepalese citizens to prosecution in their own country," the statement says.

As reported earlier, about 2000 Nepalese men were recruited by Russia to participate in the war against Ukraine. It was also known since early March that many of them were attempting to return home due to unbearable conditions within the ranks of the occupiers.

The involvement of mercenaries from Cuba and Nepal was also reported by the Center for National Resistance. Russians transport fighters to the occupied territories of Ukraine, where they undergo training under the leadership of Wagnerites.
