Defence Intelligence: The situation on the battlefield is challenging, but the initiative belongs to the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Ukraine's military intelligence uncovers the enemy's intentions, and the Security and Defense Forces thwart them.

This was stated by the representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Vadim Skibitsky, in an exclusive interview with the Macedonian media civilmedia.mk.

"We acknowledge that the enemy has fortified positions on the occupied Ukrainian territories, with extensive minefields and several lines of fortifications, which naturally affect the pace of our advancement. However, to those who believe that Ukraine is too slow in its offensive, I will say that war is not a sporting competition," emphasized the representative of Ukraine's Military Intelligence.

Vadim Skibitsky noted that Ukraine requires a significant amount of ammunition, more air defense systems, long-range precision weapons, as the situation on the battlefield can only be changed through effective use of weapons.

In this context, the representative of military intelligence expressed gratitude to North Macedonia and all partners for their substantial and unwavering support to Ukraine.

Commenting on the criticism regarding the pace of Ukraine's advancement during the offensive, Vadim Skibitsky also reminded that before the full-scale Russian invasion, experts in the West believed that our country would not withstand Putin's blitzkrieg.

"But the aggressor got a beating. And we will continue until they spit out their last fang. The main focus here is not just speed but the element of surprise and precision in the strike," said Vadim Skibitsky.

"Overall, the philosophy of conducting the current liberation war against the Russians, adhered to by the commanders of the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine, lies in the fact that we, unlike our enemy, value our soldiers," emphasized the representative of Ukraine's Military Intelligence.

Vadim Skibitsky added that Ukraine's actions on the battlefield are aimed at bleeding the enemy, specifically cutting off supply routes, destroying weapon depots, air defense systems, and intelligence assets, and achieving victory in counter-battery battles.

"We are operating on all fronts of the war, and combining successes in each of them will bring the desired result," concluded Vadim Skibitsky.
