The Danish government and parliament have approved another military aid package for Ukraine worth nearly 1.5 billion kroner (about 217 million US dollars).

The announcement was made by the Danish Ministry of Defence.

“The 28th aid package will total approximately 1.4 billion kroner,” the ministry’s statement said.

It is noted that 100 million kroner of this amount will go toward funding the “Danish model” in 2025, 372.2 million will support the PURL initiative, which enables the purchase of American weapons for Ukraine, and another 80 million will be allocated to supply Ukrainian defenders with fuel.

“Ukraine’s struggle for independence still requires significant support. Other countries must also make their contributions,” said Defence Minister Troels Lund Poulsen.

In total, Denmark has provided 71 billion kroner (about 11.1 billion US dollars) in various forms of assistance to Ukraine since 2022.
