Drones launched by Russia during the attack on Odessa and the region on March 11th demonstrated complex maneuvering - they came in from the Black Sea between buildings.
This was reported by Telegram channels of the head of the Odesa Regional State Administration, Oleg Kiper and the Navy Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"The combat lasted for an hour and a half. Air defense units repelled heavy waves of 'Shahed' drones coming from the Black Sea and performing complex maneuvers between residential and industrial quarters, complicating the work of air defense systems," said Oleg Kiper.
Despite successfully shooting down 10 unmanned aerial vehicles of the 'Shahed-131/136' type by air defense systems over the Odessa region, they couldn't avoid all impacts.
"In the Odessa region, an infrastructure object was hit, administrative buildings were damaged. A fire broke out on the spot, which was promptly extinguished. The shock wave shattered windows of private houses nearby, causing damage to utility structures. There are no casualties or injuries," he said.
