Ukrainian defence technology company DevDroid and Norwegian electronics and electronic systems manufacturer Inission Norge AS have signed a memorandum of understanding to explore opportunities for cooperation in electronics manufacturing and remote-control systems for unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs).
"Together, we see opportunities to develop and manufacture solutions for both the Ukrainian and international markets," Inission Norge AS CEO Erik Dragset was quoted as saying in the press release.
According to a statement published by DevDroid on Facebook, potential areas of cooperation include joint production of remote-control systems for the needs of the Ukrainian and Norwegian Defence Forces, establishing a full cycle of electronics manufacturing and assembly, and exploring opportunities for joint development and production.
"Together with our partners, we are considering cooperation under the Drone Deal — a model of long-term defence cooperation between Ukraine and partner countries based on the exchange of technologies and experience," DevDroid explained.
The company added that the next stage would involve assessing manufacturing and technological capabilities and determining further steps towards implementing the potential cooperation.
"In Inission Norway, we have gained a partner with experience across the entire production process, from electronics manufacturing to assembly. By combining our expertise in ground robotics with Inission's manufacturing capabilities, we will be able to develop reliable solutions," emphasised DevDroid CEO Yurii Poritskyi.
Norwegian company Inission Norge AS specialises in the production of electronics and electronic systems.
DevDroid is a Ukrainian defence technology company established in late 2022 that specialises in developing systems for robotic warfare.
